Starbuck's Vanilla Bean Frappuccino

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups ice (packed)
  • 1 cup whole milk (or ¾ cup milk + ¼ cup heavy cream for more creaminess)
  • 2–3 tbsp vanilla syrup (recipe below) or 2 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • 3 tbsp vanilla bean powder or seeds (or 1 tbsp vanilla paste for specks) — adjust to taste
  • Whipped cream for topping

Quick Vanilla Syrup (if you don’t have pre-made)

  • 100 g sugar + 100 ml water, simmer until sugar dissolves. Off heat add 1 tsp vanilla extract or 1/2 vanilla bean scraped.

Mise En Place:

Tips

  • For thicker frappuccino texture, use frozen milk cubes (freeze milk in tray) or add 1–2 tbsp heavy cream.
  • Vanilla bean paste gives the flecks and that authentic “bean” look.
  • If you want a coffee-kick, add a shot of espresso (affogato-style) or a splash of cold brew.

Cooking Steps:

Add ice, milk, vanilla syrup/paste, and vanilla bean paste/seeds to blender. Blend until smooth and icy (30–45 sec). Adjust sweetness.

Pour, top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of vanilla bean specks or powder.

Le Chef Tip

Not a Chef but... Just call him Chef, please!

This sandwich is not diet food. It is crispy, messy, indulgent, and a little dangerous (both for oil splatters and nap schedules). But make it once and you’ll realize — you never needed fast food, you just needed a thermometer and a frying pot.
